I have 4 Suddenlink emails being checked with Thunderbird. I have been running my current Thunderbird configuration for year. I have not changing anything on my end. Two weeks ago, I started getting a login to server pop.suddenlink.net failed popup on one of my Suddenlink accounts. I have logged into the email on the web interface and changed the password on the web and in Thunderbird. I am still getting the login to server pop.suddenlink.net failed. I have rest the password on the web interface a few times, but still cannot get it to work in Thunderbird. The other 3 Suddenlink accounts are still working fine. I have Thunderbird running on a second computer at work checking the same accounts and I am having the same problem with the same Suddenlink account.

Nothing has changed with Thunderbird either. So I guess we just go by the numbers looking for something.

Looking at the web suddenlink no longer exists, id is not optimum, Optimum publish setting for collecting mail from their server here https://www.optimum.net/FAQ/#/answers/a_id/216

Are your port and connection security (that will be SSL/TLS in Thunderbird) as specified by your mail provider? Do you have an antivirus program scanning mail? Turn that off if you do and try again. Thunderbird gets multiple addresses from the server at the same time. Some antivirus product are not up to that load.
