How can I set up "Twitter" on my toolbar so It opens to my logged-on Twitter acct??? I had it, but recent Firefox update deprives me!
When I click on toolbar, I used to open Twitter w/o having to log-in again. Y this extra page suddenly?

If Twitter doesn't update their addon to pass security checks to work with latest firefox there is nothing firefox can do about it. So you should contact twitter developer and tell them about the problem.

So you had a bookmark for the https://twitter.com/ or https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/ site on the bookmarks toolbar where you were already logged in when you go to it?.
Once you are logged in on Twitter you should stay logged in until you log out or clear the twitter cookies.

I do believe the Op was referring to a Bookmark and not to a Twitter related Extension for Firefox.
Firefox made an update on 1/29, that messed up the direct Bookmark I've used for yrs! It's hardly Twitter's problem! IE & Chrome (not even "Favorites") have this non-sensical addon. Firefox created the prob -- Firefox shld fix it, by dropping addon! It has nothing to do with security on a personal PC.

Hello kleytoncooper,
Would you please explain what add-on you are talking about and in what way Firefox created the problem ?
When I open Twitter, instead of getting my acct directly frm my Bookmark, a "Log-In" pg appears -- this is since Firefox "update" on 1/29. I should not need this "security add-on" -- was never there before & is not used in Chrome & IE. I tried changing the Bookmark, but Firefox changes it back the next time I open it again.

Would you try this please (if you haven't already) :
Remove the bookmark from the page that's shown in your first screenshot. Go to Twitter, sign in and when you're on that site, click on the 'i' in a circle, next to the padlock at the left side of the address bar.
Then click on the little black arrow on the dropdown and then on "More Information", which will take you to "Page Info".
Click on the 'Permissions" tab and scroll down to "Set Cookies". Uncheck "Use Default" and check "Allow".
Then close and restart Firefox.
Bookmark the page.
Does that work ?
You should also check your cookie settings : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
It simply allowed me to open to my Twitter "acct" pg. when I clicked "Home" it flipped to the blue "sig in" pg anyway. Looks like this is a Firefox "created"-ANNOYANCE!
Thanks for all you hearty "tries"!!!
