Husbands laptop was stolen last night. He made a back up of his hard drive a couple of weeks ago but is worried he has lost his emails/email folders on thunderbird. He uses this as a business account so obviously very important to get info back. How can we retrieve it? Thanks

I would strongly recommend that you immediately change any passwords which may have been stored on that laptop. eg: Webmail accounts and therefore Thunderbird, also websites that you logon to, etc .

If you have a backup then it will be located here: C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\

The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose: "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".
