My account has been erased on one of my computers - still okay on another computer. when signed up again all email and address book lost

My husband ran a required update but when he went to Mozilla Firefox he as requested to sign up for a new account. The same thing happened for Thunderbird. When I reentered all info on new member set up account opened as New and all emails and his address book are gone???? All is still fine and functioning perfectly on the second (my) computer. How can I get all the info back on his computer?
