I have purchased complete office from a computer store. I cannot set up the email to my bigpond email address, the outgoing server gives a warning mail.bigpond.com does not use encryption. its also does not recognise my password. Any suggestions please?

Indeed there is no mention of encryption here: https://go.telstra.com.au/helpandsupport/-/standard-configuration-and-settings#accordion2

I think we need to see your account settings.

  1. Go to Help|Troubleshooting Information in Thunderbird
  2. Clear the checkbox labelled "Include account names"
  3. Click the button "Copy text to clipboard"
  4. In your reply here, paste (ctrl+v, or right-click|paste)

Check it over for anything you'd like not to share. You can remove all the printer and font stuff, since it isn't likely to be relevant.

I'm not sure of the significance of "I have purchased complete office from a computer store". Is that a software suite, or the hardware?
