I have Win XP SP3 and only use FF ESR (currently 52.5.2). I understand XP will have FF security support until around June 2018. I am invited to upgrade to the new fast FF but all I got was FF 52.5.2 again. Will ESR upgrade to the faster Firefox?

No, sorry XP is not supported. Time is running out on you for just about everything that will run. Need to me thinks is to start saving for the soon to be future. 52.5.2 will update again in late May. As to how many version after not sure as supports business also.

Firefox Releases since 52.0 have dropped support if the EOL WinXP and Vista. The Firefox 52 ESR is the only version that is updated that still works on WinXP/Vista until 52.8.0esr out in May 2018.

The next major ESR will be Firefox 59 ESR. This will not run on WinXP/Vista as Windows 7 will be the minimum.
