For 2 days in a row I've been getting "Access Denied. You don't have permission to access "http://www.spiegel.com/member/login.aspx?" on this server. Reference #18.8f5fc6d5.1296254117.115cdb48 " message.

Suddenly I can't access the site (spiegel.com) that I have been able to until 2 days ago. I am at the same computer, same server, no changes of preferences, no Firefox updates or the like. Why is it happening, and most importantly, how to fix it?

I am having the problem exclusively with that site; can access other sites fine.

I get the same error, so either the server is down or is blocking access. If you have an email address to contact them then you can ask them what is wrong.

This may answer this problem. It has also been driving me nuts for about 2 months now.

'Signature Styles aims to rebuild Spiegel.com and its sister sites Signature Styles, which operates Spiegel.com, Newport-News.com and ShapeFX.com, plans to rebuild the web sites and relaunch them later this year. The last time Spiegel changed its e-commerce platform was 10 years ago. Since then, the company changed hands several times, filed for bankruptcy and restructured. Now named Signature Styles after Spiegel Brands Inc.’s acquisition in June by Patriarch Partners LLC, a private equity firm that specializes in turning around distressed companies, the company is investing in a new e-commerce platform for its web stores. Spiegel.com and Newport-News.com will be re-launched later this year, although the company hasn’t released a specific date or revealed if it plans to use a vendor’s e-commerce platform or develop the technology internally.
