I accidentally downloaded and started the install process of mozilla from ez-download. Are these guys legit or did I just install some malware?

you might want to have someone in the legal department contact google and ez-download. ez-download is reputed to be a malware vendor or conduit. Willing or not their website popped to the top of the google search results. This will never be right or good.

The link was likely in a Google Ad (above the real results) which can often be questionable.

This ez-download site is known about as there is a report at "Bug 839307 - ez-download.com bundles malware with Firefox" for reading as bugzilla is not a discussion forum.

Please see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html before commenting in this or any other bugs as Bob has spammed it with pointless comments.
