We have tried all the fixes but since the updates of 30- now this keeps happening. we have reset firefox after each update. We have deleted firefox and all items with it and still happens. The setting are set for blank page, we have even changed the setting back and forth trying to get anything to work but it is always showing the last tabs we had loaded.

Since I am not familiar with all the solutions you have tried, please consider trying the following (but apologies if these have been suggested previously.).

  1. In Preferences -> General, change the Startup setting When Firefox Starts to Show My Homepage
  2. Underneath that, delete anything in the textbox and type in about:blank for a blank page or about:newpage for the new tab page.
  3. Be sure to not click any of the buttons below this as it will change what you have just typed in.

You could also try the following, but could be slightly more difficult.

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Return. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  2. In the Search box at the top, type browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash.
  3. In the resulting grid, double-click on browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to set it to false.

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
