Firefox hangs continually no matter what do it even hung writing this question. I cant find a solution
ANytime I open firefox and go online to fill any form it hangs repeatedly. I have re installed, updated, reset, turned off hardware acceleration and many other so called fixes all to no avail. I m running a few month old windows 7 pc. As far as I can tell everything is up to date. How I manage to work around the problem is to open task manager by pressing alt, ctrl, del and then click cancel. In many cases functionality returns in many other cases it doesnt and I repeat this process until it does. Often when it doesnt fix the issue the screen is all black when I call up the task manager. I may call the task manager 10-15 times before it stops hanging. Does anyone have a clue what is happening or how I can find out. It has hung 6 times - 7 times on this form so far.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Yes I tried it in safe mode a few minutes ago and had the same problems. I went to DNC web site and tried to submit a message and it hangs as it is now trying to write this.
If you need to, use Win IE or something else until this gets sorted.
Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites.
Trouble is I dont know what I am looking for and I dont want to try and go online in safe mode. How do I get to live support from Mozilla? Can you even get live support from Mozilla?
There is no live support, unless you go to a $$$$ site.
Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes). If the problem goes away, that tells us one thing. If it does not, that tells us something else.
Its the same with the computer. If the issue continues, we know one thing. If it is gone, it tells us something else.
Try to access safe web sites only. Mozilla, your bank . . . . Go in, poke around, exit.
