MAC 10.5.8, Mozilla 12.0 (latest version on this O/S.) Firefox has this annoying yellow banner - "plugins are out of date" -. Updated, deleted, or disabled all plugins. Now down to two up-to-date plugins (Shockwave Flash and Quicktime.) Annoying banner won't go away.

Hello dsandee, try to lock the next firefox preferences, firefox 16.0.2 is the latest for your 10.5 intel mac (note that 12 and 16.0.2 version is unsupported and vulnerable). Good luck.

// disable application updates lockPref("app.update.enabled", false); lockPref("extensions.update.enabled", false); lockPref("extensions.update.autoUpdateDefault", false); lockPref("browser.search.update", false);

If you can upgrade to OSX 10.6 or newer then you can use current Firefox versions.

thank you
