hi John009, you could close firefox like any other android app by going to the task switcher/recent apps list and swiping away the application... http://www.wikihow.com/Close-Apps-on-Android

alternatively when you have set firefox to clear your private data when you exit it within its settings, there will be a dedicated "quit" button shown within the firefox app menu. How do I quit Firefox for Android?
