After updating to 37.0.1 yahoo news videos are not playing. Youtube/msn videos are working. It did not have this issue before this 37.0.1 update. I tried deleting history, cache etc. completely but it did not help.

I tried the steps described in

Firefox after updating to 37.0.1 doesn't play youtube videos.

I did reset firefox. It started working but annoyed with pop-up adds. I installed Ad Blocker. It stopped working.

It look like Firefox 37.0.1 does not like some of the add_ons/plugins installed on previous version.

How do I block pop_up adds, malware, tracking etc in Firefox 37.0.1 ?

Why does some videos are working and other are not?

Thanks for helping.

Are you using Adblock Plus or a different ad blocker? There is a forum for Adblock Plus where you can get specific advice on settings/exceptions to make it work with popular sites. https://adblockplus.org/forum/

Does it make a difference if you use a Flash based player or a HTML5 media player? Are you using the HTML5 media player or the default (Flash based) player?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
