Cox, my internet provider, gave me a password for my 2 email accounts when I had a problem with the e-mail accounts. However, I was not told that the password was temporary. Without warning, I could not access my e-mails and folders that were in my inbox before March 8, 2015. To correct the problem, a Cox's technician changed my Thunderbird Mozilla settings and my password. I am now getting new e-mails, but I need to retrieve my lost e-mails and folders that contain important info.

When I click on the inbox, the blue line across the top is extremely long which makes me think that the emails are hidden in the computer and not deleted.

Thanks for your help to retrieve the lost e-mails.

Cox ... gave me a password for my 2 email accounts when I had a problem with the e-mail accounts.

You'd need to explain that in more detail.

Whenever a provider sets a password for you, change that password right away. Always.

a Cox's technician changed my Thunderbird Mozilla settings and my password.

Again, you'll need to explain exactly what 'settings' have been changed.
