Sync Unknown Error: forms failed: ReferenceError: dbConnection is not defined
I have never had success with Firefox sync and it's getting really frustrating. The sync log appears to fail at this line:
Sync.ErrorHandler DEBUG forms failed: ReferenceError: dbConnection is not defined (resource://gre/modules/FormHistory.jsm:407:4) JS Stack trace: dbCreateAsyncStatement@FormHistory.jsm:407:5 < makeSearchStatement@FormHistory.jsm:274:10 < formHistorySearch@FormHistory.jsm:781:16 < FormWrapper._searchSpinningly@forms.js:51:5 < FormStore.prototype.getAllIDs@forms.js:149:19 < SyncEngine.prototype._syncStartup@engines.js:919:22 < SyncEngine.prototype._sync@engines.js:1518:7 < WrappedNotify@util.js:148:21 < Engine.prototype.sync@engines.js:668:5 < _syncEngine@enginesync.js:199:7 < sync@enginesync.js:149:15 < onNotify@service.js:1295:7 < WrappedNotify@util.js:148:21 < WrappedLock@util.js:103:16 < _lockedSync@service.js:1285:12 < sync/<@service.js:1277:14 < WrappedCatch@util.js:77:16 < sync@service.js:1265:5
any ideas how to fix?
Thanks.

Hi deeptii, Thank you for reporting this issue. This is an issue that we saw in a Nightly version and has been fixed. What the error means is that the database is not accessible on the local computer's Firefox profile folder.
In order to check the permissions on the Firefox profile folder you can go to:
- Open a new window in Firefox and click on the Firefox Menu.
- Click on the question mark at the bottom of the menu
- Next click on the 'Troubleshooting' information and a new tab should load called about:support
- From here there is a button next to "Profile Folder", this will open up the directory where the profile folder is. If its not showing: Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
- Right click on the folder and click "Properties". From this menu make sure that it is not set to "Read Only" (This may be a bit different in Windows 10 please search the Microsoft help if this is no longer in this menu)
- Restart Firefox, does the error come up again?
The other work around is to delete this folder in the profile: formhistory.sqlite (This file contains form filled content, simply removing it from the directory will create a new profile as well when you restart Firefox, if there is a concern for dataloss )
Please also post back with these results as well as please copy the information that appears in the about:support page.
Thank you!
