At https://testpilot.firefox.com/, Test Pilot has been "installing" for hours--except that it doesn't. Clicking on the "Installing Test Pilot" button produces a progress message, which for the last hour or so has said "A few seconds remaining." I use NoScript, but NoScript reports that all scripts are allowed on this site. What' the problem?

Test Pilot should install instantly. If that isn't the case then your security software might be blocking the file.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
