Briefly Windows is your Operating System you need an Operating Sytem or your computer will not do anything useful.

Microsoft the Company behind Windows was offering free updates from Genuine Windows 7 to Windows 10 up untill the end of last month.

If something says you do not have Genuine Windows that message could be a scam or bad information, or it could be correct, but it is not something we can help with here.

if it helps the Forum Software seems to pick up that you are posting from a Windows 7 PC. That however will not detect whether you are using genuine software or a pirated copy.

Can you provide a screenshot of that message saying it's not "genuine"?

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

If your PC works on Windows, you can still upgrade to Windows 10. Assuming that you're using Firefox as your browser   (why else would you be posting a Windows-related question on this forum, right ?),  you will need Windows as your OS,  but you can choose to ignore both Bing and Edge (or iE) If you're worried about messages saying that you're Windows 7 is not genuine:   follow the links that   John99   gave you.
