After clicking a link and returning , the first page returns to a place other than where I left
For example, If i'm on facebook and follow a link, when I return to facebook it will be further up the page than the point containing the link

Hi Jed42, I have a guess about this problem.
Between the time you left your news feed and the time you returned, Facebook probably added some new items at the top, pushing the item you clicked before a little further down the page. What Firefox remembers is the physical distance you had scrolled down in the page, and not the particular news item you were viewing, so it can only take you back to where you were if the page remained unchanged.
If that's the situation, I'm not aware of a solution. Perhaps someone else has an idea.
Meanwhile, you could consider opening links in a new tab so you don't have to go Back. One of these methods usually works:
- Ctrl+click
- middle-click with the mouse scroll wheel
- right-click > Open Link in New Tab

The above is what I always do.
