A friend of mine is visually impaired. He is using Thunderbird for his email program. He uses keyboard shortcuts with the program NVDA instead of a mouse. He can't seem to figure out a keyboard shortcut for opening attachments in his emails. Can you help us with this? Thank you.

I looked up some past work on keyconfig and found this item for saving all attachments.

Install keyconfig, then Add a new key with this code:

HandleAllAttachments('open');

I assigned Alt+Ctrl+A to this command, but you can choose another combination. If there are multiple attachments, they will all open - my expertise with keyconfig is quite limited - but for a single attachment it works well.
