I am unable to install the latest version of firefox to my Mac. I have version 36.0. I have the latest version of MacOS. When i try to update it asks me if I want to replace the version I have and when i say yes, it doesn't update. I've tried everything.

I do not know the compatibility of profiles between such a gap. I would suggest exporting your bookmarks as HTML and screen shoot your passwords just in case. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Suggest uninstall it all as nothing is the same in code wise.

Do either of these articles help? If they do not automatically adapt to MacOS, please expand the Editing Tools section in the left column and use the OS selector to choose MacOS.
