I wanted to use Firefox sync, but this tools looks like a black box. I have to use Firefox to access to my data. I'd like to be able to download my data over the network without Firefox ho to do that (web gui will be enough)

Data stored on the Sync server can only be accessed via Firefox because this data is encrypted locally and needs to be decripted

You can setup your own Sync server though.

Thanks for your quick answer, I have already read your links they give help to access to information stored locally into my profile directory, and it's not the purpose of my question : I want to know where in the cloud or in the internet Firefox is storing my data ? And is there an other way to access it than using Firefox ?

Hi

If you mean Firefox Sync, this is a secure service utilising cloud servers and as with other online services from Mozilla is covered by our privacy notice (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/firefox/).
