Search results still pop up...
So I just got the update 59.0.2... besides resetting all my preferences (which is in itself just annoying) and stubbornly forgetting over and over again where I want to download stuff after updating, the most irritating and unsolved problem is that if I enter some words in the adress bar, all kinds of results show. Even when I add the special search bar! I disabled all search engines, deleted them, disabled displaying the search results (all in accordance with the tips and tricks in the help section -- I even deleted all my history) but still...after a couple of letters in the adress bar I see a long list with results! I really don't want it -- I just want the adress bar to operate the way it always did: surf to the full adress OR go to a search page and show results there -- no "quick results" as a list under the adress bar. Seems to me that something either went wrong with the update or the options don't work like they should or did. I wanted to upload screenshots which show clearly what I mean, but it takes forever to upload. :(

Hi, that is History. Please Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar then Enter and go down to History. These can be adjusted later after experimenting with results : Uncheck Remember search and form history Heading title below the above Address Bar Uncheck everything for now and can be adjusted later.
See if that gives you the results you wanted and adjust the settings till find what works for you.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Note that the Enter key doesn't appear to work when you disable all suggestions in the location/address bar drop-down list, so you may have to enable at least one suggestion.
You can set what suggestions show when you enter an URL in the location/address bar bar.
