While composing an email, I can right click and choose a language I want to write in. But the list is rather extensive. I only use four languages so I would like to remove all the other to make switching easier. How can this be done?

I'm using the latest Thunderbird on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04).

My "list" contains english US. but that is th only dictionary I have installed.

Tools menu >> add-ons under dictionaries disable some you do not want.

You might think so, but that's not the case. I get a massive list and I only installed one additional language (Dutch).
