I've created a signature by opening a new message, typing how I'd like the signature to look, then saving as an html file. How do I add a picture to the bottom of the signature that's hosted on my server and that doesn't actually email the picture file but when the email is displayed on the recipients computer, they see the picture which is downloaded from my server. I'm trying to avoid sending 500kb signatures. . .

I used to do some basic HTML using SRC IMG something or other. . .but don't really remember or how to put it into a Thunderbird email. I'd also like to add the little Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter logo's which are also links to the actual images, again, to save bandwidth.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

when you insert an image there is an option in the dialog to "attach this image to the message" leaving it unchecked will make the image remote.

Note having an image as the last thing in an email increases the chance it will be marked as spam significantly. Using remote images that have been used in spam previously is also problematical. so take care as to the source of any images you use.
