You could try a good ad blocker to see whether that avoids the problem. For example:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

When using any content blocker, there is always the possibility that the page will not function correctly. If things seem to be off or you can't afford any breakage, try using the add-on's toolbar button to make an exception for the site.
