change purple private homepage
How do I get rid of the purple home page in Private browsing that really defeats the purpose of private browsing when everyone can see this page pop up??? I have tried setting it to private only and I still get this page upon opening. I have searched the FAQs and tried all that they suggest (except for the one that suggests not using private browsing at all). this question and problem go back to at least 2019 it seems to me it should have been FIXED by now.

Using permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History) as that makes Firefox show the same as in regular mode ?

yes it shows even then and on new tabs... and the "notice" about private mode even shows on the homepage even though I have the homepage set to duck duck go.
Are you sure you enabled private browsing mode correctly? It doesn't have any private/purple indicators.
I don't see any private mode notice on the DuckDuckGo homepage.
