REJ-RELAY-001 relay not permitted when I try to send emails via my internet suppliers mail server.
I have checked SMTP server settings - appear to be OK as the internet supplier expects. This suddenly started to happen about a week ago. other Emails sent via hotmail and gmail not now affected .
I had to get SPF or DKIM on my suppliers mail server to allow gmail emails to be sent.
All email addresses receive emails so that part is OK

One reason for a relay error is when the sending email address and the SMTP email address are different. This is a common occurrence when a user has more than one email address and inadvertently uses the wrong server.
The combination of Thunderbird and email server of my internet supplier has worked OK for several years. Recently had to get them to add SPF to be able to send to a gmail address -this was something Google needed. The email addresses that I cannot send from are of format accountname@mydomain.internetprovider
SMTP is mail.internetprovder
I don't think the error means the server is wrong, but that you may be using different identifier for email account being sent and email account on the server. If you have multiple email addresses, it might be crossed use of servers; if there is just one email account, it might be error in email address specified on one of the server settings. Not seeing the details, I cannot confirm the issue: I can only provide possibilities.
