Emails in two of my inboxes (maybe all four) are randomly disappearing. None of my email templates are showing up in either of my two template folders. This started two days ago and I cannot figure it out. Emails get downloaded, then some are just vanish but are still on the servers. Repairing the folders does nothing, but folder properties on my template folders show the number of messages that should be there. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Avast Free. I've been using both Avast and Thuderbird for many years and never had a problem.

It sounds like a sync issue or possible filtering rule affecting your inbox. Try checking account settings, disabling any filters, and resyncing the folders. Also, ensure emails aren’t being archived or moved automatically. If the issue persists, contacting your email provider may help.
