Thunderbird was working reliably. And then I started to get weird alerts about two of my email accounts. I'm not sure what's going on. Tech from my domain host was also confounded.

I moved my thunderbird backup to a new computer last week. I have 17 email addresses with 3 domains setup in a unified folder. Recently 2 of the emails give the same error message as soon as I start up Thunderbird. And it's not predictable as to which one it will be.

The error alert is: "Alert from account my-account@my-domain.com: i.op7reSD InvalidParameter id: i.op7reSD_CFR_1'

Can anybody help? Thanks

Just a diagnostic... ...please switch off checking automatically for email at start up, close TB and restart. If the message pops up then it's without any TB access to a server. If it doesn't pop up, it surely has to do with a connection to a server that TB is trying to establish. Not a solution but it might help understand the problem.

Thanks for that. I turned both problem email account settings to off for automatic checking. When Firebird started back up, one of error messages popped up... but not the other one. They are inconsistent on when they pop up anyway BUT having one trigger the error alert while NOT accessing the server is some new information. Now... I just have to figure out what to do next???

Firebird? Hope that was a mistype. I'm sorry I can't help you any further but, perhaps, there is a cookie with the domain name of the email address in the error message you first posted that can be deleted? Or all from that domain to be deleted? Perhaps the Cookie is trying to connect on start up? A random suggestion, I admit.
