That indicates that your correspondents are starting new threads instead of replying to your messages. Some options:

  1. Ask your corres# # pondents to reply instead.
  2. Turn on conversations in Thunderbird. I have a button for conversations in my main toolbar. If you don't see it there, you can customize the toolbard to add it.
  3. See if sorting by threads in Thunderbird helps. View - Sort by
