when I start typing the address, firefox automatically completes it by using the most visited address from history. When I delete a part of URL, it then again autocompletes the URL on it's own so I have to do the work twice. How do I stop this?

Mozilla should have an easier way to stop these features without having to edit arcane code. It's a very annoying feature. The auto-search feature is also very annoying and both should be set to "Off" by default. Most people don't need a browser's help to fix a typo.
