Firefox crashes every time I try to open it. None of the things that I read on the help page have been affective. It doesn't have anything to do with add-ons or themes. I think it might have something to do with my firewall, but I'm not completely sure about that either. I've restored my laptop and everything but it doesn't work.

It started when I was using Firefox and it froze completely, as in I couldn't even close it and I had to restart my computer. I did a system restore because I was having other issues. I don't know if that could've affected it.

Do you have any McAfee extensions or toolbars (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) ?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
