I needed more room in the main window. I switched off all of the menu bars on the top of my screen. When I right-clicked on the tab bar to reinstall the menu bars, it did not give me an option to toggle them on again.

F10 may well temporarily get the menubar back.

You can also try from the keyboard, hold Alt, press in turn V, T , M
