How to customize the navigation toolbar with an "Add New Tab".
Hi
How can I customize the navigation toolbar with an "Add New Tab".
I have seen a "Add New Window" custom button, but not "Add New Tab" custom button. It is possible there is a problem with my installation of Firefox v4, but i just cant find the "Add New Tab" custom button.
I would prefer to fix a "Add New Tab" button on the left, rather than the standard Firefox one moving to the right each time a new tab is added.
Thanks

I assume you looked at:
View > Toolbars > Customize
for the "Add New Tab" button?
You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
cor-el, thank you for your reply.
Yes that worked.
After I went into customize view (View, Toolbars, Customize), I found the "new tab" button on the right hand side of the browser, and managed to drag it into the "Customize Toolbar" box, and from there to the left hand side to the left of the awesome bar.
Thank you for the solution. This puts Firefox back the way I had it in earlier versions and now is working perfectly, and back to being the best browser available.
You're welcome
In Firefox 10.0.2, there is no "New Tab" button in the customize window.
I don't like to use the + on the far right and prefer to use the New Tab button. But how do I get New Tab on my toolbar?
I found it! Now that was really hidden.
View > Toolbars > Customize (OR: right click on the toolbar, click customize) LOOK ON THE FAR RIGHT SIDE of any open tabs. There is a white + symbol. Drag that + symbol up into the toolbar.
Close the customize screen (click Done).
