On my firefox home page or when on firefox I cannot print it does not have a print icon nor a place up at the top where it should have file icon so i can print but it does not why is that i need to print my homework.

{Ctrl + P} doesn't work to initiate printing?

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Also, there is a Print button in the Palette that you can move to a Toolbar.
