How can I disable the extra security password I added?
I was asked to add another password to add another level of security when I browse. It's become very annoying, popping up too frequently. I would like to disable or delete this feature. How do I do it? I use Firefox on three computers and my Android smart phone, but I find that I get so annoyed with these randome (it seems) requests for my 'super' passwords, that I'll switch to other browsers to have a less interrupted browsing session.

In Firefox 4 the Master Password expires after 30 minutes and you need to reenter the MP if it is needed after that time has elapsed.
This lifetime setting can be set via the security.password_lifetime pref on the about:config page.
security.password_lifetime (30)
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.
This was a clear, complete and very helpful answer. I had no problem following the directions, and I'll be able to change my choice in the future should I choose to because of the way it was explained. THANKS!!
