I've been using Firefox for several years as my default browser. Have just upgraded to version 5.0 and found that quicknote is not compatible with this latest version. I totally rely on using quicknote so have managed to go back to Firefox 3.6.18. Is anyone working on an update to quicknote so that it can be used with Firefox version 5?

On the following page, it says "QuickNote 0.6.0.6 (update for Firefox 4, in testing)". Other than that, I can find no other information.

Thanks very much. Quicknote was working fine with Firefox 4 but I couldn't find a way to get back to that so I've had to revert to 3.6. I'm just hoping someone's working on making it available in Firefox 5. Alternatively, if anyone can tell me how to get back to Firefox 4, that would be better than 3.6!

You would be better off staying with Firefox 3.6.18 as it is still supported by Mozilla, at least for the next 2-3 months, I believe. With the release of Firefox 5, the support for Firefox 4 ended, even if security issues exist or are found in Firefox 4. That is Mozilla's policy as it stands today going forward. With the quick release policy for new versions, they drop support for the immediate prior version when a new version is released so that they can concentrate on the development of new versions.

With that said, if you insist on installing the no longer supported Firefox 4.0.1, you can download the Windows version here (choose the interface language you want): ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0.1/win32/
