Everytime I save a Favorite it goes into the Recently Bookmarked folder which is not what I want. How can I permanently prevent this from happening?
If I copy/paste a link from Recently Bookmarked into Unsorted Bookmarks and then delete the link from Recently Bookmarked the link is then also deleted from Unsorted Bookmarks. WTF!! I have tried numerous way to get a Favorite into Unsorted Bookmarks or one of my other folders to no avail. It always goes into Recently Bookmarked. What's the point of the Recently Bookmarked folder if I then can't organize my Favorites the way way I want them. At this point I hate Recently Bookmarked and want to permanently banish it or I'm just going back to Windows Explorer. At least Explorer's bookmarking system works. BTW, I run Windows 7 Home Premium.

The items in the "Recently Bookmarked" folder are an automatic summary of other Bookmarks, showing only the last 10 (default) Bookmarks added. Therefore, they will be in 2 places; in the folder where you placed the actual/underlying Bookmark and in the "Recently Bookmarked" folder.
If you delete an item from the "Recently Bookmarked" folder, it will also delete the actual/underlying Bookmark.
You can delete the entire "Recently Bookmarked" folder if you wish, but not the individual bookmarks items contained in that folder. If you decide to delete the folder and later want the "Recently Bookmarked" folder to reappear, the process is a bit more involved, so consider carefully before deleting that folder.
There are more of such lists apart from "Recently Bookmarked" like "Most Visited" and "Recently Visited" and you can create your own lists as well.

The Status Bar is not likely to return. You can install the following add-on to get some of the former Status Bar functions back. The Add-on Bar must be turned on. The add-on will also stop the showing of the "tooltip" type status loading text and the link hover, and will, instead, show it in the Add-on Bar:
- Status-4-Evar: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/
- After install and restart:
- Open Customze window (Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout OR View > Toolbars > Customize OR ALT+V+T+C ORright-click in the empty space at the end of the Tab Bar and choose Customize)
- While Customize window is open, drag "Status Text", "Progress Meter", and "Download Status" from the Customize window to the Add-on Bar in the order and position you want them to appear. Then click "Done" button at lower right on the Customize window.
