Firefox has been dragging, when I type it takes a minute for the sentence to show. When I click on something there is a minute delay. I have Win 7, Explorer does not hangup. Gmail is real slow.t

I originally thought my internet was slow, but it works fine in Explorer. I have always used Firefox and do use some addons, sync, etc. I use gmail extensively but now everything slows. Firefox rarely crashes, I just have trouble entering data or clicking on items. I can type a full sentence and it doesn't show for a moment. Computer is fine otherwise. I do run AVG but is shows no viruses.

Please see if this happens under Safe Mode.

You can also try toggling the check mark under 'Tools' > Options > Advanced > General - "Use hardware acceleration...." and " Check my spelling as I Type".

Thank you for your suggestions. Those are the settings that I have. Maybe I should uninstall and reinstall?

Actually if those two options are enabled please try after deselecting them.

And please wait. Someone else may come up with a better suggestion.
