Wiki pages and files do not load, Netflix videos do not load why?

the icon says loading but it never does either for the video on Netflix and the files and pages on the Wiki. I have had to revert to Internet Explorer to accomplish these tasks which is a bore as I have to type the addresses in every time while my Firefox is set up to have the address remembered.
