Hi there,

I would like to know how to ensure that browsing history is automatically cleared every day. One can do this with Internet Explorer through the settings tab but I cannot discover how to with Firefox - except manually. Is there a way?

-> click Firefox button and click Options (or Tools Menu -> Options)

  • Privacy panel -> History section -> under Firefox will: select "Use Custom Settings for History" -> REMOVE Checkmark from Permanent Private Browsing mode
  • place Checkmark on Clear History when Firefox Closes -> click Settings button ->place Checkmarks on items you don't want Firefox to remember when you close Firefox -> click OK
  • click OK on Options window

Check and tell if its working.

Thank you. I have followed your suggestions but will not know till shutdown if I was successful. (I tried to post this reply just afterward, but the system told me I am denied access to the page and must have an account to post. Not sure this posting will work either!)

Hi,

Clearing the recent history was not a problem from the beginning. I just don't like to do it every time because I never want the computer to save anything. I suppose in the end though, even though we clear, delete and clean up, traces always remain if we read about evidence that resides in computers seemingly forever.
