Firefox has stopped working with 2 websites, even though they work ok with other browsers. I have followed all your suggestions but no joy.

What websites are you having problems with? What is Firefox doing / not doing on these websites?

Good afternoon. Ebay (US and UK) have text only, they are fine on Safari+Chrome. www.iomvac.co.uk will not load content on Firefox. (I posted these sites in my original question.)

more options

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks for all your help. Tried everything - still not working.

Can you see the sites via Google Translate with a random source language like "fr" (French)

Yes, I can now see the IOMVAC site via your suggestion! Thank you. So now I would be interested to find out why Firefox will not show the site, and what I can do to solve the problem. Can you please help with www.ebay.co.uk? Incidentally, ebay does not show up on another (loyalty card) site www.nectar.com

That usually means that something is blocking access to a web page.

The can be security software like a firewall or maybe anti-virus software or the website or your ISP (e.g. DNS server) is preventing to access those websites.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.

Thanks. I switch the router off every night. I had already checked out those suggestions. Ebay will not load on Google translate eg when I type ebay the right hand page just has eba................. I seem to think that this problem started with the update to 10.0.2. Could this be? How could I try an earlier version?
