How do You remove an incompatiable extension from your computer that's been disabled by Firefox (Smart Printing Button 1.0) but can't find it on the hard drive?
I was cleaning up my Add-Ons, etc. and noticed that if the extension, Smart Printing Button 1.0 is disabled b/c it isn't compatible with my current version of FF 18.0.1, why not uninstall it and move on? I searched for answers on how to do that, but have been coming up empty. I searched my C Drive for the HP program Web Printing (as suggested by HP forums) and found nada, I'm thinking I might have deleted it (not uninstalled it properly) as I felt I didn't need it and now the extension remains. How do I remove the Smart Printing Button 1.0 extension listed on Firefox's extension list given the current situation???

That extension is likely to have been installed globally and is found via a registry scan.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
- From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select Add-ons, or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the Tools menu and click Add-ons.
- Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the Extensions button on the left side of the window.
- You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
- To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the Remove button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
- Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the Restart now link in the message.
You can find further information about uninstalling extensions in the following articles:

You may need to remove that extension manually.

The hardest part of doing that might be figuring out which folder that extension is in, if you have a large number of extensions installed.
~~~iamjayakumars~~~ - I have already tried to do that prior to posting my question, I'm sorry for not detailing that I had. There is no option to remove this extension, none (like say my Yahoo browser plus extension), it simply says (with a yellow triangle above the extension's name) SmartPrintingButton is incompatible with Firefox 18.0.1. No where within that shaded box is there a way of clicking remove, or disable, FF has already disabled it for me.
~~~the-edmeister~~~ - I followed the steps from that link prior to posting this question as well, again, I apologize for not saying that I tried that option as well. When I found the folder labelled Extensions, there were only two listed, and either was listed as one being related to the HP Smart Printing Button.
I don't want to try and make the extension compatible, I just want to delete it from my computer &/or as a listed extension that FF recognizes. It appears (the program, Smart Printing) is no where on my hard drive , or any other sub-folders. How might I be able to fix this? Also I went to HP and I reinstalled Smart Print (it's an add-on for I think Bing's toolbar), uninstalled it and still nothing. There seems to be no way of even trying to Remove it from FF extension. I will try to reinstall Bing Toolbar( it has ready been uninstalled), then reinstall the HP Smart Print add-on, then uninstall both and see what happens next.
Thanks guys for the help:-)
