This Connection is Untrusted
I tried all the instructions on how to disable / fix “This Connection is Untrusted” in otherwise working well Windows2000 computer.
- 1) Scanned for viruses. Found and deleted: (setup(2).exe), (PlayItAll-setup-win32-8.exe), (InstallationManager.exe)
#2) Deleting “cert8.db”: Document and Settings / Administrator / Application Data / Mozilla / Firefox / profiles / sl6vngid.default / (delete) cert8.db / Restart computer….
- 3) Change browser.ssl integer “2” to “1”: Firefox / about:config / “This might void your warranty” / “I’ll be careful, promise” / enter “browser.ssl_override_behavior” / Delete “2” in the “Enter integer value” box and enter “1” / OK / Exit Firefox / restart Computer….
The problem of “This Connection is Untrusted” is still exist and unable to permanently save any of the “Get Certificate” / “Confirm Security Exception”
Please, please answer specific...

hello, what security program are you using on your computer & what error code is showing up on the error page under technical details?
Hey pataj, I removed your email from your post, there are some people who search websites, especially popular ones like this, just for email addresses so they can spam them. You should get an email whenever somebody replies to this post, though.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate has expired. The certificate will not be valid until 3/19/2013 4:00 PM. The current time is 1/3/2002 5:01 PM.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_issuer_certificate)
ok, in this case please just set the correct date & time in your windows system settings.
Phillip! You are great! All this problem must have started when I changed the battery on my mother board or just ignored the date somehow. After days of cleaning the registry, virus check, file sorting, defragmanting, deleting programs... the problem was oh so simple. Now everything is working. Thanks.
you're very welcome :-)
