I have customized a nice toolbar, but a yahoo tool bar keeps coming up.I've 'removed' it before, now I can't even do that! It takes up too much space on my screen and I don't want it. Do I even have a choice?

Yes, you do. There are at least 3 choices:

1. Remove it by unchecking Yahoo Toolbar from Firefox Menu - View - Toolbars.
2. Disable Yahoo Toolbar from Firefox - Tools - Addons (CTRL+Shift+A)
3. Uninstall Yahoo Toolbar from Windows Control Panel - Add Remove Programs.
