Can this be done in Thunderbird? (Obviously, I am a recent convert from Outlook Express/Outlook).

MagicSLR. It does exactly as described above. Adds the Send Later button to the Customize Toolbar menu. In conjunction with BlunderDelay, I am covered! Thanks for the assistance !!

There is a default Outbox under Local Folders.

if you use 'Send later', the email will be sent to the Outbox. You can then check the email and send from the Outbox. When you restart Thunderbird, it will ask if you want to send all the emails in the Outbox.

There is an addon which allows you to choose times etc.

How to install addon:

I monitor 3 POP3 accts and I have them all going into their own "folders". So, I have 3 Inbox folders, 3 Sent folders , etc. Any way to establish Outboxes for each of those? If not, I may try to coalesce all three into the Local Folder to make use of its Outbox. Thanks

All of the accounts currently use the one Outbox. You do not need to do anything.

No matter what account email address you use, all 'Send Later' emails will be sent to the one Outbox, which happens to be located in Local Folders.

Now that is good news. I will give this a try later on and reply at that time. Thanks!!

Hi, I installed it, and it does say Send Later [IDLE] at the bottom but nothing happens and I cannot see where to set it up. Thanks.

I found it in Extensions. However, you cannot apparently set it up so that every email will (mindlessly) go into the Outbox and will then always send automatically in 1 or 2 minutes with T-Bird's Send/Receive cycle. The choices are set at 15 mins, 30 mins and 2 hrs. At least that is how it looks to me. Do I have that right?

Thanks to all for your time.

When you want to schedule a message for later delivery, either select the File > Send Later menu command in the message composition window, or hit Ctrl-Shift-Enter. A pop up window will appear.

You can set a specific date and time or use the shortcut 15 min, 30 min or 3 hour.

Thanks, that's what I need to know for now!! I may try BlunderDelay but how would emails get into the Outbox without an app like SendLater?

By using the shortcut Ctrl + Shift +Enter Send is Ctrl+Enter Send Later is Ctrl + Shift +Enter

It seems that I get the Send Later window with Cntl+Shift even if Send Later is disabled. I hope to use BlunderDelay for the deliver function, and would just like Send Later to automatically put every Sent email into the Outbox. Is there a way to that? I did notice that even if I have Send Later disabled, it is still called out on the bottom taskbar as IDLE.

Thanks for the assistance!

I got Send Later to fully disable and all is back to normal. So, now I see that Cntl+Shft+Enter = a send later command that puts the outgoing email into the Local Folder Outbox. Then BlunderDelay sends appropriately.

So, is there any way to just "hijack" the Send button to seemlessley execute the Send Later instruction?... or, to add a"Send Later" button to the available choices in the Customize Toolbar window? Thanks
