Firefox told me that it was updating. Showing 33.1. Now when I am on a page the top of the screen where the menu and tabs are keeps "jumping" or flickering, also goes over top of page. I have adobe flash completely disabled because it crashed so often, even after reloading and making sure it was updated. Only allow it when absolutely needed on a page.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Flash is notorious for not cleaning out the older version as part of an update. Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.
