how to change the new tab page

when i press the plus button on the top of the brower, new tab opens. In the new tab page, google search engine and 15pages(3x5) of different site pops up. I think pages that are loaded on the new tab was less than 15 pages before the update. I liked the older setting, so is their any way i can do to put less pages on the new tab or change it to the older settings?

The easiest way is to change the zoom level on the New tab page by holding down Ctrl and pressing the + or - keys.

If you wish to customize the page further, you could try an Add-on like New Tab Tools, which will also remove the superfluous search bar.

In about:config there's two prefs that you can modify to change the number of rows and columns.

browser.newtabpage.columns and browser.newtabpage.rows
