Why must I run FF as adminstrator when I click on to open?

When I click on FF icon, first I get a window that says FF is already running. I sometimes get a window option to turn FF off. But the only way I seem to be able to start FF is to chose Run as Administrator. I think I have fixed the having no profile option that also comes up.
