i sent a few crash reports , but i just re-did my PC , new hard drive , fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit install , all Windows Updates done , and installed Firefox , all done TODAY , and it has crashed several times , the last 3 within 5 minutes of each other , Firefox has never crashed on me before , and today it has crashed about 5 times , it has done it on different web pages , and it did it twice on the same page after the "reset" , i don't know what the issue is , but something is wrong , any info would be appreciated .... Thanks ... Jim

Well i ended up reformatting just to be sure there were no Windows errors causing this , so i installed a fresh/clean Windows 7 Professional 64 bit , last night and so far Firefox has not crashed , now i only have 1 last issue which i will post as soon as i post this , and hopefully my issues will be solved

hi jim, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

The crash report flagged these programs;

atidxx32.dll = Advanced Micro Devices

I would advise download the full installer from their web site.

Well that is weird , i will go to AMD's site and download a driver directly from them (i checked , and what you posted is in my Video card driver , which is a ATI Radeon HD5450

What does it specifically say was the cause of all the crashes , and were they all caused by the same thing ??

I don't know the why. Let us know how it comes out.

those crashes might be related to your particular hardware - can you use a tool like www.memtest.org in order to check the integrity of your RAM?

I used a utility called Ultimate Boot CD v5.2.6 which has a check system that will check Hard Drive (which was bad and was replaced a few days ago) , the Ram (which 1 stick was found bad and i am getting 2 matching 2gb sticks which should be here today) , that test was ran last night

So yes , the ram that is currently in the system (6gb , which was 8gb but 1 stick was found bad in the test and removed) is all good and 2 sticks of the 4 that were in it are new within the last week , 1 stick from the original , passed the test , but it will be replaced today with the matching set i mentioned above , so my total ram will be 8gb again once the 2 new sticks arrive any time now and all ram will be NEW as of today

But even after the bad stick was removed (actually when i was downloading the driver for the video card , Firefox crashed yet again) , i will note i am currently on my Vista PC while posting this , till i get the issues fixed on the Windows 7 PC , but the Vista PC with Firefox that i am currently on right now has not crashed , EVER
